The Balancing Act, Toddler mom Act
Do you think your life is fair? Just like the life you pictured when you were small? Or are you so busy, that you don't get the time to think about your life at all? I fit the latter. From the time I wake up it's just trying to finish my morning routine, cooking three meals and getting to work on time. At work it is patient after patient, or surgery after surgery and I hardly get time to even think clearly. What is my next move? Did I take the best decision for my family moving from a better city to a semi- urban one?
While settling down in a new city is hard, its harder when you have a 17 month old toddler who just wants to disrupt everything you're trying to keep in place. He's adorable, cute and I love him so much, he's also a handful! Trying to get him to eat is one big task: no BLW did not work for us! As a new mother I researched everything and anything baby related hoping my child would learn some good habits, and after almost one and half years as a new parent I can say - No two babies are the same!
If you purchase the BLW high chair, bib and suction plate, watch a dozen or more videos on it hoping your child will follow the same, be optimistic- but not too optimistic, if your lucky it may be a success, in my case a partial one! He eats his initial appetizers on the chair then he just wants to play! I think his paternal genes take over in the middle and he just jumps down and then it's just us feeding him. He never says no to Chocolate though, he's Mama's boy!
When he was born, I knew my life wasn't going to be the same. You read about it, you witness it with your friends, but when it happens to you, then reality kicks in. Being an avid reader in my pre-mom era I haven't got a chance to read since he was born. I haven't visited a palor, nor have I enjoyed a night out with my friends without having to go back early or run back home because he's crying.
Well that's a lot about me and my life, there are the good parts, the happy moments which I wouldn't trade the world for! That's for another post I guess.
Hoping to post more, read more and interact more, the World needs a little bit of Sunshine and ofcourse, Melons!
